Zainab Bashir Yau is a gender inclusion and global health advocate. She is an entrepreneur and business owner who uses entrepreneurship as a powerful tool to ignite change, empower young girls, and advocate for equality and justice. She is renowned for her groundbreaking contributions to the aesthetics and wellness industry across the globe. Zainab currently serves as the Director of DermaRx, a patient-centric aesthetics and wellness center based in Nigeria which has treated over 11,000 patients across 11 countries. As the first Molecular Spa in Africa, DermaRx is dedicated to promoting women’s empowerment and is a proud signatory of the UN Women and UN Global Compact, Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs). She is also the Co-founder of Aesthetica Gambia and founder of Nigeria’s prime professional equipment brand Spabox.

Zainab also serves as the Global Lead for BYEI Africa an organization focused on reducing gender inequality and poverty through education and entrepreneurship. Zainab effectively intertwined advocacy and entrepreneurship leveraging her expertise to champion various causes and mobilize communities. She firmly aligns her brand with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and directly promotes their principles and objectives through her entrepreneurial endeavors.

Zainab is a licensed Medical Aesthetician, who holds qualifications in monitoring and evaluation, project management, leadership, and management in health and holds an MBA. Her educational background includes a major in Medical Biochemistry, a minor in Global Health, and masters in Facial Aesthetics. Zainab holds positions internationally, including her most recent role as a distinguished member of the Aesthetic Multispecialty Society (AMS) in France and the International Academy of Aesthetics (IAA) Beverly Hills, California.
