The 19th Annual WIMBIZ Conference
Friday Nov. 6, 2020 | 7:30 am
Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) is a non-profit organisation formed in 2001 by 14 individuals to be a platform for professional women whether they are in careers or running their own businesses. Over the last 19 years, implemented programs that inspire, empower and advocate for a greater representation of women in leadership positions in the public and private sector.
WIMBIZ has a contributory associate pool of over 700 accomplished women in management, business and public service. WIMBIZ collaborates with credible domestic and international global organizations to deliver programs, which have influenced over 200,000 women since inception.
Our vision is to be the catalyst that elevates the status and influence of women and their contribution to nation building. Our mission is to inspire and empower women to attain leadership positions in business, management and public service.
The Annual Conference is WIMBIZ’s flagship event which holds November of every year and is attended by over 1500 women from all over the world to discuss a broad range of issues centered around a cutting edge theme that is topical and relevant to women in the business, corporate, public and development sectors.
In the word of Amy E. Herman “…the best way to rethink something we’ve been doing for years, the way we do our jobs, the way we interact with others, the way we see the world is to step outside of ourselves, and outside of our comfort zone.”
2020 has so far been a year of change, a year of a shift in priorities and a decline in global economies. The aftermath is that everything has changed in all aspects of our lives from our homes, social interactions, businesses, forced technology adoption to our emotional well-being. Economies around the world are still grappling with the effects of the pandemic, same as Nigeria, which was already tackling its own fiscal challenges.
Recalibrating our perspective will help us keep an open mind, infuse optimism and embrace change with a positive outlook. To borrow from Dr Wayne Dyer, “When you change the way you look at things, what you look at changes!”
The WIMBIZ 2020 Conference aims to get our participants to embrace change as opposed to struggling with it. Furthermore, the conference will challenge participants to reposition their businesses and careers by innovating and collaborating.
Over the last 18 years, we have driven execution our vision by empowering and inspiring women through our Annual Conference which has become the biggest and most inspiring Conference for women in Nigeria
Engage, connect, share and be inspired by over 1500 women from diverse areas of the corporate, business and public sectors, including indigenous and international delegates
The Conference will attract over 50 speakers who will build on the successes of previous Conferences and push the envelope by challenging women to break stereotypes and brave uncharted territories in emerging markets
