Aderonke Akilo

Aderonke has over 20 years of experience in a range of roles spanning business leadership, corporate & investment banking, compliance, and public service. She is currently the General Manager, Strategy for Ardova Plc. Aderonke joined Ardova as the Chief Operating Officer of Axles & Cartage, the transportation logistics subsidiary of the Company. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Aderonke was responsible for managing the business operations, driving operational efficiency and strategy implementation. 

Prior to joining Axles & Cartage Limited, she was the Head, Financial Advisory at FCMB Capital Markets Limited where her responsibilities included origination, deal structuring, negotiation, and leading execution of transactions. Aderonke has extensive experience in corporate banking, corporate finance, transaction structuring, financial advisory, corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions with both public and private sector clients in diverse industries. 

Aderonke served as an adviser to the Lagos State Commissioner for Finance and was part of the team that negotiated the first sub-national World Bank Development Policy Operation, which facilitated a financing commitment of $600 million for the Lagos State Government. 

She has a master’s degree in Investments from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, and a first degree in Economics from Lagos State University, Nigeria.
