Dr Agility Obi-Ihesie is a Medical Doctor/ Consultant Pathologist, entrepreneur, writer and international speaker. She has been a doctor for 20 years with over 10 years Specialist experience in Pathology.

While undergoing her specialist residency training in Pathology, she became interested in Skin Pathology (Dermatopathology) and was inspired to translate her expertise in microscopically diagnosing skin diseases to creating solutions using locally sourced raw materials.

This led her to founding Dr Purejoie Skincare, a 100% Nigerian-made Dermatological skincare brand that helps you ENJOY YOUR SKIN by providing high-quality, high-performance, world-class skincare products.

The brand supports women’s empowerment and economic growth in Nigeria, with all products LOCALLY produced to world-class quality in Nigeria using over 80% locally sourced ingredients and aligning with SDGs 3, 5, and 8

She has been a weekly Columnist in Business Day Women’s Hub magazine, where she used storytelling as a tool to promote behavioural change for all-around wellness and is an avid advocate of Women’s wellness.

She is married to Dr Austin Ihesie, her college sweetheart, with 4 children.

She holds an MBBCh degree from College of Medicine University of Calabar, a FMCPath Fellowship in Pathology from National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, a Certificate in Project Management in Global Health from University of Washington, a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from Enterprise Development Centre, Pan Atlantic University and is an alumnus/ fellow of African Women’s Entrepreneurship Cooperative, a leadership and business management programme for African women.
