Jette Bjerrum

Mrs Bjerrum is the Consul General of Denmark in Lagos as of August 1st 2023 and a long term frontrunner on the topic of gender and diversity in leadership.

She is trained MBA, wrote her dissertation on Women in Leadership, and holds an extensive management background from private and public sector positions. Among others from business operations in global pharmaceuticals, life science and bio ingredients industry. Besides her role as a trusted Diplomat representing the commercial interests between Denmark and Nigeria, she will offer insights from the innovation ecosystem as a key contributor to solving the challenges of our societies and building resilient business models. Building and facilitating strong partnerships among key stakeholders across industries, public offices, investors and other key decision makers is therefore high on the agenda. Specifically in regards to gender and diversity in leadership, Mrs. Bjerrum has lived and worked in Europe, Latin America, India and is thrilled to be in Nigeria. On a private note she is the proud mother of two adult sons.
