Ladun Awobokun

Ladun Awobokun is a seasoned content strategist with 14 years combined experience in formulating content licensing models, film programming, market research, Content production, sales & acquisition. She currently leads the content strategy, production and distribution efforts at The Filmone Ltd. as the Chief Content Officer. 

Ladun and her team represent the exclusive theatrical interests of major Hollywood studios; including Walt Disney, Sony pictures and Warner Bros. in Anglophone West Africa. More so, the team is responsible for distributing 90% of the highest grossing Nollywood titles of all times; including both the 1st Nollywood and Hollywood films to hit 1Billion Naira at the box office. 

She also leads the production team at Filmone Studios, guiding both the content development and physical production teams of the business. It is currently the largest co-producing house in Nigeria, with nine titles already co-produced in 2024, and counting.  

Ladun has also been involved in fostering standardization and transparency in West Africa’s movie industry, evidenced with her contribution in onboarding of the comScore platform in the West Africa region. More recently, she was the Editor in chief of the 2021 & 2023 editions of the Nigerian Box Office Yearbook: the official handbook for the Box Office facts in Nigeria.
