Ngover Ihyembe-Nwankwo is a transformative financial services leader with over two decades of experience in corporate banking, trade finance, and payment systems. As Executive Director of Business Development at the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS), she provides strategic direction for commercial growth, ecosystem partnerships, and innovation, all focused on strengthening Nigeria’s digital financial infrastructure and deepening inclusion.

Her previous senior leadership roles at Rand Merchant Bank and Standard Chartered Bank saw her leading corporate client strategy and structured solutions. She has consistently bridged finance and technology, building products and partnerships that drive efficiency and unlock new opportunities.

Ngover is recognized as a strategic leader who blends deep operational expertise with a warm, collaborative and purpose-driven approach. This commitment to empowerment extends to her role as a Trustee for WIMBIZ, where she advocates for women’s leadership and economic equity.

A lifelong learner, she has completed advanced leadership programs at Harvard and Cambridge Judge Business Schools. She holds an MSc in International Management from the University of Exeter and a BA (Hons) from the University of Durham.
