Pharm. Josephine Ehimen

Josephine Ehimen is the founder/CEO of Nett Pharmacy, one of the foremost retail pharmacy chains in Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Benin and is also a Certified Canadian Pharmacist. She belongs to the Canadian Pharmacists Association and the British Columbia College of Pharmacists, Vancouver, Canada. She is a certified Natural Products Advisor with the Alive Academy, Canada. 

 Josephine is a cohort member of the Growth Institute, Austin Texas CEO’s Program, a certified coach, public speaker, and trainer with the John Maxwell Leadership Team and a Fellow with the Vital Voices Global Partnership.  Josephine is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and Eaton Business School an arm of the Guglielmo Marconi University Italy and holds a Certification in Business Strategy from Harvard Business School 

She has vast experience practicing as a clinical and community pharmacist both within and outside the country. She opened the first branch of Nett Pharmacy in September 2004 borne out of a passion to contribute her own quota to make a difference in community pharmacy practice in Nigeria. From its inception, health and wellness advocacy has always been the culture in Nett Pharmacy and this has greatly endeared the brand to all its clients who have been loyal to them for the past 19 years. Under her leadership, Nett Pharmacy has grown organically to about eight states of the Federation. 

Josephine is a recipient of a couple of awards, amongst which are: the Pharmalliance 2019 Inspiration Award, ACPN Distinguished Pharmacist Award (2021), Trek Africa Pharmaceutical Personality of the Year(2022),  University of Benin Alumni (Lagos)  2022 Award of Excellence, a special recognition by Guardian Newspaper as one of the 50 Value Driven CEOs of Excellence in 2022 amongst others. 

 Josephine is an active facilitator of several business, leadership, and mentorship sessions within and outside the Pharmacy profession. She is also a mentor at WIMBIZ (Women in Management, Business, and Public Service) and a WIMBOARD Fellow. 

 As the CEO of a growing retail pharmacy chain in Nigeria, her practice is continually targeted to benchmark global best practices in community pharmacies around the world. Josephine is also a very avid reader and believes strongly that you are only as good as the books you’ve read. She is married and blessed with three children.
