Diane Okoko is a seasoned legal expert with a career spanning several years in the fields of Commercial Law, Corporate Governance, Capital Markets, Arbitration and other forms of Dispute Resolution. Her reputation for pushing the boundaries of a bureaucratic legal landscape stands her out. She serves as the Principal Partner of Marcus-Okoko & Co, an international corporate law firm with its head office in Abuja, Nigeria.

 

Diane has earned recognition as a Fellow and approved Faculty member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (Nigeria Branch), and a Fellow of the Institute of Construction Industry Arbitration. She is a member of the Institute of Directors, a reputable Notary Public, a registered Capital Market Solicitor, and a member of the Governing Council of Janada International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (JICAM). She is an alumna of the Wharton Executive Program of the University of Pennsylvania, in Strategy and Management for Competitive Advantage.

 

She is an experienced Arbitrator and currently serves as the Lead for the Arbitration Thematic Area for the National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER) and is listed as a neutral on several Panels such as the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), amongst others.

 

Passionate about empowering women in leadership, Diane believes in creating opportunities for women to excel in leadership positions and actively supports initiatives aimed at achieving this goal. As a testament to her dedication to women’s empowerment, she has received several recognitions such as being named one of the 50 Nigerian Inspiring Women by BusinessDay Women’s Hub as well  as being listed on CNBC/Washington Post’s  31 African Inspiring Women.
