Dr (Amb), Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Omonigho Ekhomu was born December 18, 1958 in Igueben Edo State.  She is the Group Managing Director/CEO of Trans-World Security Systems Ltd, Lagos based asset Protection Company. The President of School of Management & Security, the foremost Training Institution in Nigeria. She is a member of the ASIS Foundation Board of Trustees. She was ASIS International’s African Advisory Council Chairman, where she presided over Africa. She was Senior Regional Vice President for West, Central & Northern Africa., for ASIS International from 2010- Dec.2015. Regional Vice President for West, Central Africa, from 2008-2010. She also was the Chapter Chairman for ASIS, after having served as Program Chairman, and Secretary. ASIS International is the world’s largest professional security body, with over 38,000 members.

 

Mrs. Ekhomu attended the University of Pittsburgh USA, (MPA 1986); the University of Lagos, (BA 1979).

 

The Senate and Award Committee of European-American University conferred on her the Prestigious Award of DOCTOR OF SCIENCE HONORIS CAUSA (D.Sc.), in Industrial Security, Risk Management & Corporate Governance, honoris causa, with all its rights and privileges of the University.

 

Harvard Business School (Certificate SW47x: Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies Oct. 2020). In September 2005, she earned the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from the Professional Certification Board of ASIS International, USA, the highest professional Certification, worldwide. She attended the Advanced Management Program of the Lagos Business School (2001). Victoria was honored with the Certificate of Appointment as Ambassador for World Peace (AMBP), by the United Nations on the 9th of October 2020.

 

Dame Victoria is a Trustee of AISSON (Association of Industrial Security & Safety Operators of Nigeria). Ekhomu on February 25th, 2021 became a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and she was honored as a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). A fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Industrial Security; a Fellowship Award from Institute of Security, Nigeria, an arm of University of Lagos; a Fellow of Institute of Criminal Justice and Criminology Administration, Advisory Board of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO). Victoria, is a past President of LBS/AMP12 Class (Lagos Business School); Victoria is also a past National President of SMAGOGA (St Maria Goretti Old Girl’s Association).

 

Victoria has served as the Vice-President of Trans-World Consultants Ltd. since 1982. Since 1991, she has served as a director of Trans-World Security Systems Inc. of Chicago, Illinois USA.  She was appointed Executive Vice-President of Trans-World Security Systems of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA from 1984 -1988.  She was formerly an instructor in her alma mater, St. Maria Goretti Girls’ School, Benin City (1981) and she served as a sub-editor in the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna (1979-80).

 

 

AWARDS:

 

Dr Victoria Ekhomu won the 2028 OSPAS Lifetime Achievement Award Dame Victoria Ekhomu won the 2023 Bill Zaluud Memorial Award of  Professional Excellence from IFPO (International Foundation of Protection Officers). A 2023 Biography of “Who is Who in America”. In 2022, Mrs. Ekhomu received the “Gold Standard Award as the First Female CPP holder in Africa” by ASIS Chapter 206 .In 2015, Victoria Ekhomu won the Karen Marquez Award of Excellence from Women In Security Chief Mrs. Victoria on December 3rd, 2020 was Honored by Nigerian Security ; a Lifetime Achievement Award from ASIS Lagos, Nigeria Chapter 206 (2018)and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in collaboration with Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALSPN) , Award of Excellence, as the Most distinguished Amazon in Industrial Security Practice. The Yeye Fiwagboye of Ilewo, was honored on February 12th,2020, by the Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA), Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Award, as the Most Outstanding Personality of the Year. She is a Lifetime Member of “Cambridge’s “Who is Who” and a biography of “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry” and “Who’s Who in the World.” Victoria has been honored as the Female Director of the Year 1997; Volunteer Leadership Award 1999 and Most Valuable Professional Award 2000 by the American Society for Industrial Security. She is the first Nigerian to be appointed to the Awards Committee of ASIS International worldwide and in May 2005 she was conferred with the Diamond Award for Professional Excellence.  She is the founder of the Good Samaritan Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of accident victims. Mrs. Ekhomu is a member of the Editorial Board of the Security Watch Africa Magazine.”
