Jane Kimemia-Nechi

Mrs Jane Kimemia-Nechi the Chief Executive Officer, Optiva Capital Partners, a Pan African Business leader with over 23 years’ experience in the financial services covering a broad spectrum of clients’ segments including Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking and specialising in propositions across transactional banking, lending and in Wealth Management.

She has worked in senior roles across markets across East Africa, Southern and West Africa. Her expertise is in general management with distinct competence in building and establishing customer value propositions, building sustainable businesses from scratch, building, and nurturing high performance teams and raising their profile through visibility, contribution, and quality of output.

Mrs Jane joined Optiva Capital Partners from Standard Chartered Bank where she was the Executive Director and Head of Wealth Management in charge of Wealth Management, Forex and Bancassurance for the East Africa region covering Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

She also was the Managing Director Standard Chartered Investments Services Limited a subsidiary fully owned by Standard Chartered Bank and Managing Director Standard Chartered Insurance Agencies Ltd the Insurance subsidiary owned by the bank.

Prior to that Mrs Jane was the Regional General Manager, Priority, and International Banking still at Standard Chartered Bank responsible for the Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania business. Before that Mrs Jane had an earlier career in Barclays Bank International spanning 12 years and held various senior positions including, General Manager- Premier Banking for the Kenya business.

She was head, Scheme Loans Kenya in charge of the entire lending business covering key blue chip companies. all government ministries, parastatals and government departments Project Manager executing projects across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Seychelles, and Mauritius.

She is a graduate of Kenyatta University in Nairobi and of INSEAD Business School Singapore
