Olive Emodi

Olive Emodi is a Lawyer and a multi-award winning broadcaster with over 8 years’ experience in broadcast and hosting across traditional, digital and social media platforms. She was awarded the Future Awards Africa Prize for TV Presenter of the year in 2018 amongst several awards, whilst also being listed amongst Nigeria’s 100 most inspiring women by Leading Ladies Africa in the same year. She currently hosts ‘BREAKFAST CENTRAL’, a daily TV show on News Central TV (DSTV 422), that discusses the news and topical conversations around the African continent. 

Her journey into media became official after her call to the Nigerian Bar in 2013. She started out hosting the Good Morning Nigeria Show on Cool TV, veered into radio by hosting her own show on Nigeria Info FM and eventually hosted Hello Nigeria on Wazobia TV. She further explored a career path as an Actor in the Nigerian film industry, a journey that began when she won an acting reality TV show in 2011. 

When not on TV, Olive is a Compere and has worked with over 75 brands in the corporate and entertainment space, delivering top-notch audience engagement at every event.  

In the digital space, Olive has nurtured a career as a social media influencer. She constantly expresses her storytelling and content creation skills through the vehicles of fashion, lifestyle and travel. She also uses her voice and her online platforms for advocacy 

Olive is passionate about making a difference especially as regards women and young girls. She produced an International Women’s Day series in 2018, giving women a platform to tell their stories authentically. She also started The Olive Emodi Network in 2019 to equip a new wave of media practitioners through virtual mentorship and physical training- centred events.
