Yewande Kazeem is an award-winning communications, media advocacy, and market systems expert with extensive experience designing and implementing development initiatives across agriculture, food systems, nutrition, women’s empowerment, youth development, and community development in Africa. She is the Founder and CEO of Wandieville, a communications and development implementation firm that works at the intersection of storytelling, social marketing, market systems strengthening, and sustainable development.

Through Wandieville, Yewande leads the design and delivery of projects spanning strategic communications, policy advocacy, social and behaviour change communication, demand creation, market development, and value-chain development. Her work translates complex development challenges into practical interventions that influence behaviour, strengthen markets, create sustainable opportunities for women and young people, and improve access to nutritious food.

Yewande has led and supported programmes across Nigeria and other African countries, working with governments, development organisations, private-sector partners, and

communities to strengthen agricultural value chains, promote nutritious foods, support entrepreneurs, and build sustainable market ecosystems. She is also the visionary behind Nutrition Conversations Africa (NCAfrica), an initiative developed in partnership with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) to spotlight Africa’s nutrition challenges and opportunities, elevate transformative ideas, and inspire stakeholder action to address malnutrition.

Yewande’s contributions to agriculture and development have earned her several recognitions, including an Agribusiness Journalism Award. She serves on expert and advisory committees, including the World Benchmarking Alliance’s Food and Agriculture Expert Review Committee and the Alliance for Modernizing African Agrifood Systems. She is a Cornell Global Leadership Fellow, TEDx speaker, and has been featured on CNN.
