Michelle Pflueger

Michelle Pflueger is Chief Asset Development Officer for Chevron’s Nigeria/Mid-Africa region, a role she assumed in 2025. Based in Lagos, she leads subsurface and growth delivery across Chevron’s onshore, offshore, and deepwater portfolio in Nigeria and its deepwater assets in Equatorial Guinea.

Over the course of her Chevron career, Michelle has held leadership roles spanning operations, asset development, petroleum engineering, and enterprise transformation. Her experience includes serving as Offshore Installation Manager on the Agbami FPSO in Nigeria, General Manager of Asset Development for the Gulf of Mexico, Director of Deepwater in Nigeria, and General Manager of Digital Innovation & Acceleration.

Michelle is recognized for connecting technical depth with strategic clarity and disciplined execution. She is passionate about lifelong learning and about creating business value through the integration of engineering, innovation, and agility.

A California native, Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2000 and a master’s degree in Applied Statistics from Texas A&M University in 2011. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. She is happily married with children.
